Brookhaven is a stunning family-oriented community with a welcoming vibe. It's a great place for kids to grow up or for families to grow comfortable with their neighbors and everything the neighborhood has to offer. Not only does Brookhaven have plenty of access to stunning local restaurants, stores, and other amenities, but it also has plenty of great green spaces where the kids can play, the dogs can run, and adults can take in the serenity of nature. On summer days, when the weather in Atlanta may be too hot and humid to play outside, there are plenty of indoor activities to explore.

If you're in need of a major grocery shopping trip, Brookhaven makes it easy with a Costco conveniently located within the neighborhood. For more extensive shopping, including fantastic clothing stores and fast dining opportunities, residents can head to Town Brookhaven, the local shopping center. 

Of course, one of the biggest draws of the Brookhaven area is its fantastic foodie scene. Head off to 26 Thai to enjoy a wonderful Asian fusion experience, or visit Verde Taqueria for delicious Mexican fare. For fine dining options, check out Haven Restaurant and Bar or visit Arnette's Chop Shop. New restaurants crop up in the Brookhaven area on a regular basis, so there's always something new to explore.
 
Things to Do
 
Many of the biggest draws across Brookhaven include the various outdoor activities. Check out Brookhaven Park for its ample space and great dog-friendly atmosphere, or visit the Peachtree Creek Greenway for miles of trails. Each year, as the cherry blossoms start to bloom, you can enjoy the Cherry Blossom Festival at Blackburn Park, complete with a play zone for the kids, a classic car show, and incredible music. If you're looking for a place to kick back and relax, the Capital City Country Club offers a gorgeous setting, complete with an expansive pool, tennis courts, and a historic clubhouse. 
 
Schools
 
Brookhaven's most notable contribution to education is Oglethorpe University, a small, supportive private college with a strong core curriculum and a high degree of commitment to the local community.
